I am posting two images of the Moon. One picture I took a week ago with a SeeStar S50 “smart. Telescope.” It is the black and white picture. The second picture I took a few days later. This picture was taken during a “Strawberry Moon” on April 21, 2024. The term “Strawberry Moon” is given to a full Moon at the summer solstice when the arc of the Moon’s orbit around the Earth is lower in the sky. This causes the Moon’s reflected light from the Sun to pass through more of the Earth’s atmosphere scattering blue and green light because of its short wavelength and allowing orange and yellow (and sometimes red) light with its longer wavelength to pass through unperturbed giving the Moon a yellow-orange hue.
